Why is this place still allowed to run? As a current resident, I’m warning anyone thinking about moving in: this apartment complex is run by slumlords in the office and freeloaders in maintenance. The moment you sign your lease, the truth hits. Your unit will come with issues and they’ll brush it off like it’s normal. But it’s not normal. I bet you are not alone. Expect broken appliances, water damage, a roach infestation, dirty vents, filthy move-in conditions, and paint slapped over damage. Repairs are unfinished or sloppy, and office emails will say things are being “fixed” when in reality, nothing is ever truly resolved. They’ll patch up whatever’s visible for showings but leave everything else broken or unsafe. Meanwhile, maintenance workers who live here ride around in golf carts all day doing nothing. How are there so many unresolved issues when staff is on-site daily? It’s pure laziness and a total lack of accountability. They advertise as “dog-friendly,” but the dog park is a biohazard. Mushrooms are growing, feces is everywhere, bag stations are empty or overflowing, and standing water from broken pipes creates breeding grounds for bacteria. Children and dogs are exposed to these conditions daily. No one does anything about it and that’s what’s truly sad. Rent? Don’t trust their quote. You’ll think it’s affordable until the bill comes and they tack on random charges. The pricing changes every month. Ask very specific questions about fees better yet, demand a real tour. Not just the staged model. Walk around. Look at the grass, the vents, the walls, the dog park. You’ll see exactly what current tenants are dealing with. Let’s stop normalizing this behavior. There is nothing normal about inconsistent AC/heat, filthy conditions, being afraid to walk your dog due to health hazards or seeing needles and drug use in the parking lot while they take our money every 1st month. I’m not sure if anyone even works here but I know they’re always “fixing” something while never fixing the root problem: they do not care. This place is not safe, not clean, and not worth your money. If you’re reading this, I truly hope it helps you avoid making the same mistake. Don’t ignore the reviews. We’re not exaggerating come see it for yourself. And if you still choose to live here, that’s your decision. But now? You’ve been warned. This goes beyond negligence. Save your money. Save your sanity. Find somewhere else.
I had posted a review but it won't show up anymore for some reason. I said the water and heat are constantly being turned off in buildings for maintenance. The washers/dryers have problems, the further from the leasing office the worse the conditions are for the buildings. I had frost inside my apartment and my heat didn't work. When I moved on the stove didn't work and the heat didn't work. They replaced the stove and had a company come "fix" the heat but it still didn't work. Half the amenities have very limited access and you're still paying for them. Not worth the price you pay.
When I moved in, the trash valet service they touted during the tour was eliminated without notice which has resulted in piles of garbage laying around the community consistently. The dumpsters are overflowing on a weekly basis. Ventana also recently removed Fetch package delivery service as well without notice, which allowed me to be home when packages were delivered. I am constantly bombarded with emails of buildings not having running water or heat, even if my unit is unaffected. For a series of days, residents were left without heat and water, to which the management company responded with placing porta potty’s outside the office and giving cases of bottled water as if that would be sufficient compensation for the lack of basic sanitation services. When I asked for a carport, I was told they “don’t have a system” for tracking that and they made me go look at the individual carport numbers to find one they could reserve for me. Then over 3 months later when I was out of town, an email was sent about towing cars from carports that didn’t have a sticker, which was never previously communicated as being a requirement. The laundry facilities hours are limited to daytime hours only, closing at 6pm or sooner, and even closed when they are said to be open on the weekends. When they are open, a third of the machines are broken, a third of the machines have trash in them, and if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll find an open one? These are just a handful of examples that contribute to an absolute terrible resident experience at Ventana. If you work a 9-5 or rely on heat or water or want to live in a clean community, please don’t make the mistake I made of moving here. Edited to add: The staff at Ventana has demonstrated incredibly poor communication skills, often ghosting you when you send an email asking simple questions. They also frequently change the hours the facilities are accessible without reimbursement of the facilities fee that is added to the bill monthly. As far as I’m concerned, if I pay for a monthly fee, I should get it access to what I’ve been promised upon lease signing. Otherwise, I’m convinced this is theft.
Great experience helping our family move in! Responded right away the next day when there was a small hiccup, and they were responsive and still on time with everything despite dealing with a major water line issue at the same time. Staff is very nice, good experience signing lease and getting our young man moved into his first apartment.
I honestly wish I could give them less of a rating than the one star because they don’t deserve that. I live here alone with my children as a single mother. When I moved in my rent was supposed to be 1845 plus a few minimal amenity fees Such as the gym, the laundry room, the swimming pool and ballet trash that has never once been picked up since I lived here in April. Every month my rent is over $2200 even though we don’t have the amenities we were promised. The laundry room in my building is completely gutted and has homeless people living in it because somehow they have the code to the door and maintenance Apparently refuses to change it. They never clean the dog waste bins so the second I open my patio door that’s all I can smell my unit luckily does not have bugs but it also doesn’t have heat half of the outlets in my house don’t work. I went three months without a dishwasher. I’ve been asking them to fix my heater for over a week but Colleen from the office stays harassing me for rent before it’s even late every single month!! Currently looking into how I can get out of my lease, please do not waste your time or your money moving here. This property needs to be shut down.
